BIENNALE International Art Exhibition
48 Collateral Events are scheduled for the 55th International Art Exhibition titled Il Palazzo Enciclopedico (The Encyclopedic Palace) (they were 37 in 2011), curated by Massimiliano Gioni and organized by la Biennale di Venezia chaired by Paolo Baratta (preview 29, 30 and 31 May 2013), open to the public from June 1st to November 24th, 2013.
The Collateral Events, which are admitted by the curator and promoted by non–profit national and international bodies and institutions, take place in several locations; they offer a wide range of contributions and participations that enrich the diversity of voices that characterizes the Venice exhibition.
The President Paolo Baratta says: “This announcement completes the number of organizations who despite being outside the boundaries of the Exhibition are exhibited in the city of Venice, and which contribute, along with a good number of participating countries that do not have a pavilion in the Giardini or in the Arsenale, to spread the 55th Exhibition by turning it into an urban phenomenon, that would engage every corner of the city.”
